A paralegal by trade, I dream of having a job as a writer of a seedy underground New York sex column, where I earn enough money to live in a well-maintained, but modest New York apartment, shop weekly for $400 shoes, and eat sushi nightly in exclusive restaurants with an 8 week weight list. Oh wait, that’s the main character of Sex and The City.  I actually dream of writing entertaining material so I can earn enough money to live and feed my horse and dog.  High aspirations.

On a more serious note, I love to write, learn and practice dressage, practice yoga, meditate, walk, hike, swim, workout and garden.  I’m the perfect candidate for a feminine product commercial.  In my real life, I work for great lawyers, volunteer, teach and occasionally write and speak on continuing legal education topics.  In attempting to hone my writing skills outside of the legal world, I have scribbled various starts to fictions and short stories, and realized I enjoyed the art of writing.  But in the midst of my new excitement for writing, the term “Blog” kept popping up on my Internet browser like a rancid virus.  Of course, I had to investigate and so to the blogosphere I went to embrace a new fad called “blogging.”

I started this blog in the summer of 2008 as a place to entertain, poke fun at life, and offer jejune advice.  It has morphed, grown, changed and hopefully will continue to exist.

Life is too short not to have fun.  My hope is that this blog brings a smile, a chuckle, a grimace, or any emotion, through simple musings from observations of life.  Nothing is sacred and comments are welcome.  See Disclaimer.
